BASWA DTG
Seamless Acoustical Plaster Applied to Drywall Framing
The BASWA DTG system provides a direct to drywall grid system panel, which consists of a randomly-spun, recycled mineral wool with an FRK backing for room acoustic management. Installation follows requirements per ASTM C645. BASWA DTG offers an installation timeline that is faster than typical acoustical drywall solutions, with consistent acoustic performance across the entire system surface.
In addition to NRC ratings between 0.75 and 0.80, BASWA DTG also achieves a 39 CAC rating. The system captures sound energy as it passes through the microporous, recycled marble finish and is absorbed into the panel.

Substrate & Flexibility
BASWA DTG is directly applied to drywall grid systems, in complance with with ASTM C645. DTG follows flat or slightly curved substructures.
Sustainability
BASWA offers sustainable, long-lasting acoustic systems to promote healthy architecture in all spaces. BASWA DTG panels contain 90% recycled glass materials, while system finishes are produced from marble aggregate, a byproduct of stone extraction, and contain 65-95% recycled content. Free of LBC Red List materials.

Choosing a Finish
BASWA's recycled marble-aggregate finishes are trowel-applied for smooth surfaces or spray-applied for texturized finishes, available in natural white stone or custom color for a highly customizable design .

Installation Overview
Process Overview
BASWA DTG panels are applied to drywall grid using screws and washers. Trims, discs and screw heads are coated with BASWA Prime. A coat of BASWA Prime is trowel applied to the entire surface. Once dry and sanded, recycled marble aggregate finishes are then trowel or spray applied, in alignment with the lighting design and geometric complexity.
Typical Installation timeline is 4-5 days. All BASWA systems are installed by local BASWA Ceritified Installers that are located throughout the world.

Invisible Speakers
BASWA systems are often used in ceiling and walls with concealed speakers behind the finish in projects like home theaters, lobbies and permanent museum exhibits.
Speaker boxes are framed into the substrate and panels are fitted around them. After a mesh is installed to cover the speaker box, BASWA finishes coat the surface uniformly.
The result is a seamless finish with high-performance sound absorption that invisibly accommodates clear, crisp amplified sound.
